Now that the client app is being written as a Shockwave Flash application, I need someone to help teach me a thing or two about what the hell I'm doing. I've never before ventured into SWFs except to watch/play. You know something useful? TELL ME!

Tuesday, January 29 - Overhaul to Shockwave

Well for the second time this project has had a major overhaul, wasting plenty of work, always with the hope of saving more time with the new plan, than the amount of time that was lost with the old one. Enter: Shockwave Flash.

After much debate and thought, I've decided that, in what is hopefully the final project overhaul, to develop the client application in Macromedia's Shockwave Flash format. I think this is an answer to compatibilty issues, as well as eliminating actual instillation of the client software, which to many users is an advantage (although not all.) It also means that users at computers they don't have full access to (example: a library computer or a school computer) can play the game without much hassle.

At any rate, there isn't much information here quite simply because all previous information has become useless, and there is no present information beyond: the client will be developed in SWF format. I beleive I'll probably begin posting work on the server, which until now hasn't been shown on the site.

I am soliciting people to help me learn how to go about creating SWFs. Someone must know! And I must learn! So....obviously that person should HELP ME!
